Alladale Lodge

Alladale Lodge is situated within the Alladale Wilderness Reserve and at all times run with respect towards the unique local environment. The Highlands are considered one of Europe's last great areas of wilderness, yet much of the flora and fauna that once thrived here has been driven to extinction. The purpose of the Reserve is to restore a remote area of the Highlands to its former natural glory. You will meet some of the lost species that have been returned, and your stay will contribute directly to this pioneering conservation project. Alladale also has it's own hydro turbine with plans to satisfy over 80% of their fuel and energy requirements throughout the year.

Built originally as a sporting lodge in 1877, Alladale has maintained its traditional, yet sumptuous, style and comfort. Large elegant rooms with original fireplaces, tall sash windows and many antiques throughout, give you the sense and atmosphere of a 'home-from-home'.
